Life Always Rises

I am dissolving, evanescing

Like salt into fire.

An explosion of sparks

Then

Nothing.

Fully transmuting, transforming

Love into flame.

Like a snow fox caught in a trap

Who gnaws off a leg

Leaves a bloody trail

In the snow

White fur vanishing

Into the liminal space

Where trees meet tundra.

Eventually all things die.

Dissolve back into pure energy.

Salt. Blood. Fur.

Snow turns to water

And washes away in the spring.

And new things grow

And bloom in the stillness

Of corpse or bleeding or healing.

Life always rises

In the end.
